Harris & Ewing
- Harris & Ewing was a prominent Washington, D.C.-based photography studio active from 1905 to the 1970s. Founded by George W. Harris and Martha Ewing, the studio became one of the most important providers of official portraits and press photographs of U.S. government officials, Supreme Court justices, military figures, and events in the capital. They held a long-standing contract to photograph federal activities and contributed extensively to national newspapers and news services. Much of their work was distributed via wire services or syndicated directly to publications.
